I think you really are making a huge mistake with this Great Wall Hover Review, Yes maybe your test drive all seems very good and on first appearance things seem fine but you must remember that anything Chinese is made cheap and is not for anything safe or durable. I can tell you I know that you will have massive problems before this GWM has even done 20,000 on the clock - mark my words.

Did you not think why they don't never sell the car with a service plan. I will tell you why because they know it doesn't be reliable. They want to sell you the car and get rid of you, try to get parts too and you will see what happens, you will sit months without a car.

The other reason they don't give a service plan is that these GWM guys are here just for a short while when they see that the South African customer is not a fool and is loyal to good brands like Nissan, Toyata then they will make a duck and you will never hear from them again - you are going to hit Great wall my friend a brick wall when they pack up and go leaving you in the xxx.

Andy's reply I think you could not be more wrong. They are here to stay and these Chinese companies are the future. The fact that Geely has just bought Volvo should be evidence enough.

I want to tell you too that I have never had as good service and responses from any company before and I used to have a Toyota and an Audi. The service from Great Wall is better than either. The MD of the company in SA, Henri Mestre has even personally assisted if I have had issues. Go on Hellopeter and see that they actually respond to problems and see how few problems there are compared to other manufacturers.

Safety too is a misconception. Look at one of my other posts where I refer to a thread that proves the safety of the car and they also have a four star NCAP rating.

To conclude these are solid well built cars that will probably prove to be more durable than many of the "latest" models from Japan and Germany filled with half proven high technology.
